POSITION DESCRIPTIONS
WHAT EACH ROLE DOES
PRESIDENT
-
Oversees and coordinates the work of the executive board
-
Presides at board and general membership meetings
-
Serves as the official contact and representative of the organization
-
Authorized signer on contracts and payment authorizations
-
Serves as ex-officio member of all committees except nominating
-
Connects alumni, university, and community to support the organization
Vice President
-
Works as the primary aide to the president
-
Helps lead the organization toward its goals and policies
-
Performs president's duties in their absence

Serves as an active participant in each committee
-
Carries out duties as outlined in bylaws or as assigned
TREASURER
-
Maintains permanent records of organization funds and transactions

Chairs the budget committee and prepares the annual budget

Pays all organization bills as authorized by the board

Prepares reports for every board meeting and an annual financial report

Ensures all taxes and required reports are submitted on time
SECRETARY
-
Takes minutes at all board and general membership meetings
-
Posts minutes within 7 days of each meeting

Handles OUBAA correspondence as directed by the president

Maintains and preserves organization records and documents
HISTORIAN

Records the annual history of the organization through photos and written documentation

Actively seeks and preserves historical records of the organization
OFFICERS AT-LARGE

Assumes responsibility for roles as assigned by the president

Leads committees as designated by the president
